Job Title: Site Engineer

Responsibilities

• To control and manage the site engineering department
• Take ownership of the responsibility to ensure the correct design, inclusive of change is followed.
• To ensure the construction project follows the required design, using the correct materials, to the required quality in a safe manner.
• To ensure all design and material changes are correctly incorporated into the construction project.
• Oversee the day to day running of the site
• Representing the Company towards the client and consultants on site, inclusive of attendance of site meetings, with regard to the technical operations
• To assist the Head of Project in the control of change orders

Requirements

• A good first degree in Building/Civil Engineering or equivalent from a reputable University or Polytechnic.
• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and work quickly with minimal direction
• A minimum of 5 years cognate experience in similar position is desired.
• Must be able to interpret structural drawings with precision
• Must have eyes for details and not be prone to errors
• Excellent leadership, negotiating and influencing skills
