Hamilton Lloyd and Associates - Our client offers a wide range of project management services including but not limited to preparations of MTO, supply -chain solutions including procurement services and logistics, in-house NDE service and inspections and third- party inspections.
All activities are performed under an umbrella of internationally accredited quality management system within the oil and gas industry.

The company has decided to start a search for a Project Lead and the vacancy is located in Port Harcourt .

Job Title: Project Lead

Location:
Port Harcourt, Rivers State

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
  • To liaise with Clients on a regular basis and develop sound business relationships.
  • To prepare pre-qualification and tender documentation in accordance with Company’s IMS in consultation with Business Line Managers.
  • To negotiate contract terms in consultation with the Contracts Manager
  • Participate in the production of department and Company plans and budgets
  • Tendering project management responsibilities for supervision of the Commercial Assistants to ensure schedules, deadlines and quality are met
  • To keep informed about Company’s capacities and capabilities in business lines and in general.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
  • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
  • Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.
  • Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Schedules due dates for drawings, specifications, software, technical manuals, and other documents.
  • Monitors status of project to ensure documentation is submitted according to schedule.
  • Reviews and verifies project documents for completeness, format, and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
  • Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
  • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
  • Confers with engineers, managers, customers, and others to discuss project, prepare documents, or modify contract schedules.
  • Submits project documentation to management for approval, and transmits approved documents to customer.

  • Willing to apply the company processes, standards and compliance regulations
  • Should be able to schedule inspection of products.
  • Good communication skills and availability

Competencies and Skills Requirements
  • Candidate should have between 3-5 years of experience.
  • Candidate should have worked in a good place.
  • Knowledge of PrimaVera software is mandatory.
  • University degree in Engineering required,but excellent Mathematics and Physics degree will be acceptable.
  • Candidate should be a graduate from one of the top universities in the country.
